Failing long press / hold / buttons on fenix 6x Pro. 4530037 over 3 years ago. Before my run, the UP (9 o'clock) and DOWN (8 o'clock) buttons work with long press (hold) to take me to the main menu and to music options, respectively. Towards the end of my run, both of these fail. Holding UP will activate the widget menu and just start scrolling Again, like the non-solar Fenix 6 it has a non-touch 1.3-inch, 260 x 260 resolution, MIP screen and physical button control system. The system works exactly the same way as the Fenix 6 Pro. I attempted to clean the port as well as opened up the watch to see if the sensor looked OK. The sensor looked fine and I cleaned out the port. Neither of these things resolved the problem. Of course, I also tried a factory reset. My last resort is sending it to Garmin for repair, but I would image that would cost more than the watch is worth. Just replace the button I think is difficult, but it is not difficult to replace the lower case kit. I have a Garmin Fenix 5x and the temperature, altimeter and barometer sensors didn't work for me, I ordered the lower case via ebay and I personally replaced everything myself. Now today, the middle button the left side does not work at all. Press and press and no click, no response from the watch. Bottom left button clicks, works fine. Now can't access a lot of the watch's functions. After 2 days, very disappointed given this is a very pricey Same issue here, after owning the watch for two weeks now. 'Down' button is not clicking anymore and a bit more effort is required, however it still does work. It's a bit annoying, and I am not sure if this is going to get worse over time. We will see.. I returned my Fenix 5 after GPS and ANT+ issues and got a 935, which I am extremely happy with. System 5 will cover the same units, and again there will be some things that only work on 4.0.x hardware, and in 2022 there will be units which support the on-device app store, which won’t work on 3.2.x units or the current 4.0.x units.
